騎著他的腳踏車衝向陽光的剎那。

怒吼般的音量突然加大，
到底該拿心中的憤怒如何是好呢。

要看懂這首歌的歌詞真的需要做點功課。

在第二次世界大戰時期，英國人們相信參與這次戰爭可以終結戰爭，
也就是所謂的「War to end all wars」，將自己定位在正義的一方。
人們相信著他們可以得到所謂的 The Post War Dream (戰後春夢)，
社會會變得更安定、世界會變得更美好，
為了嚮往的未來藍圖，他們帶著無比崇高的理念，
奉獻自己的性命無悔的投入戰爭。

然而事實上，戰爭結束後，世界變得怎麼樣了？

國內種種黨派鬥爭、國際間資本與共產的冷戰種種問題產生，
看著父執輩踏入戰場葬送生命的孩子長大了，
他們可以接受這樣的世界奪走了自己父親的生命嗎？

Pink Floyd的主唱Roger Waters的父親便是殉職二戰的戰役中。

而英國從航海時代至工業革命以來，皆是引領全球獨步之國。
19世紀時的英國人想必是對於自己的國家與歷史有著無比的驕傲與自負。
但二戰後的英國呢？
日本的工業技術日漸發達，將這英國造船工業龍頭給奪去了。

如果不是日本人在造船上如此擅長，
英國區域的河口一定還是停滿了私人遊艇吧。
(nips便是對日本人貶意的稱呼。)

對比於日本的國旗 the rising sun，
二戰後整個世態的變化教人們怎麼去面對這段自己寫下歷史呢？
